About DEAF

As per the guidelines issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), balances in savings accounts, current accounts, fixed deposits, recurring deposits, and other deposit accounts which have not been operated for a period of 10 years or more are classified as inoperative.

Such unclaimed deposits are transferred to the Depositor Education and Awareness Fund (DEAF) maintained by the RBI.

How to Claim Unclaimed Deposits

  • Visit the nearest branch of The Rashtrakuta Souharda Co-operative Society Limited
  • Submit a request for claim of unclaimed deposit
  • Provide valid identity and address proof (KYC documents)
  • Submit account details and supporting documents
  • The claim will be processed as per RBI guidelines

Documents Required

  • Account holder identity proof (Aadhar / PAN / Voter ID)
  • Address proof
  • Passbook / Deposit receipt (if available)
  • Claim form duly filled and signed
  • Legal documents (in case of nominee/legal heir)
Note:

Customers can claim their deposits even after transfer to DEAF. The bank will process the claim and settle the amount after verification as per regulatory guidelines.
